Application deadlines

RCO certification Application Deadlines

MARCO reviews RCO certification applications during scheduled cycles. The number of applications that can be reviewed each cycle is limited, and applications are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. If you submit your application before the due date and the review cycle is full,  your application will be forwarded to the next available cycle.

Please Note: Organizations may start the certification process anytime by completing a self-assessment. The deadlines below are for submitting the online application, which can only be accessed after completing a self-assessment and meeting with the MARCO team. If you have completed those steps and need the online application, please contact us at certification@marcomn.org.

Upcoming Application Deadlines:

Submit your application by these deadlines for the application to be considered during the corresponding review cycle.  If your application is accepted, a site visit will be scheduled within the timeframe indicated below.

* Limited space is available during each review cycle. Applicants are assigned to review cycles on a first-come, first-served basis until the application deadline. If the current review cycle is full and you submitted your application before the deadline, you will automatically be assigned to the next cycle unless you request otherwise.

Lighthouse Beginnings

LHB came to life when we became a 501(c)(3) in 2020. We built a board of directors of people in recovery. LHB launched for the purpose of assisting and empowering individuals to remove the roadblocks experienced while in the recovery process.

LHB was developed and continues to be managed by individuals with lived experience, education, diverse backgrounds, and different pathways of recovery. We have locations in Brainerd and in Minneapolis, trying to expand our reach to those who face recovery daily, know people in recovery, face homelessness, or have been wrongly incarcerated.

Our Approach

Peer support encompasses a range of activities and interactions between people who share similar experiences of being diagnosed with mental health conditions, substance use disorders, or both. This mutuality is often called “peerness” — a connection between a peer support worker and a person in or seeking recovery that promotes connection and inspires hope.

Peer support offers a level of acceptance, understanding, and validation not found in many other professional relationships. By sharing their own lived experience and practical guidance, peer support workers help people develop goals, create strategies for self-empowerment, and take steps toward building fulfilling, self-determined lives through individualized wellness plans.
